Weekend Read 7 June 2025
June. Here we go and as we roll through the summer months, we will continue to throw the focus on seasonal products, but I am going to begin this newsletter by talking about consistency and upholding consistency, because there are always those products which consistently deliver on promise and Superior Joints is one such product.
Before we take a look, I think it’s important to recognise that Shabir has tweaked the formulation over the years in alignment with ongoing research, yet conversely, and despite ongoing clinical studies in this genre, we still believe that Natural Eggshell Membrane (NEM™) is the single most critical compound to help provide joint pain relief. And we have upheld that positioning for several years.
NEM™ is a clinically proven source of Chondroitin, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and other Glycosamino-glycans which are essential for healthy joints and in a double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial, more than 50% of participants noticed an improvement in ten days. I will caveat that by saying that we are all different and it can of course take time for any form of supplementation to really start working, so here I am literally referencing and reporting the findings of a clinical trial, because it’s important to do so, it has always been important to do so.
It is also important to recognise that many of us take Superior Joints with Hyaluronic Acid, and I suppose we should now add Collagen Tripeptide Complex into that equation, basically because I can’t really separate them out. Each supplement has its own role to play in joint and bone health, with HA and Collagen Tripeptide Complex also playing an important role in skin health, essentially because it is important to maintain the levels of both compounds within our bodies, as our levels most definitely decline with age.
Anyway, because I can’t really separate them out, I am going to have a moment, and the moment looks like this. When you buy Superior Joints, we will automatically include Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength (15 capsules) which is worth £17.50, that’s the first part. The second part is that I am putting Hyaluronic Acid Capsules (30 capsules) together with Collagen Tripeptide Complex (90 capsules) which would normally cost £80 together, but because I am continuing my mission of keeping Collagen Tripeptide Complex on virtually every Weekend Read, which has now become a thing, that price drops from £80 to £65 for both products. Mission accomplished.
VH Editorial: Painful Joints; DoSe Superior Joints £30 for 60 Capsules + DoSe Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength (15 capsules) Free; DoSe Hyaluronic Acid Capsules High Strength (30 capsules) + DoSe Collagen Tripeptide Complex £65 (offers end at midnight BST, Sunday 8 June or whilst stock lasts)
With that moment over, just to say that I haven’t linked the three articles about Collagen Tripeptide Complex because I did that last weekend, so we now move onto another one of our bestselling products, and that product is Diosmin Plus. Diosmin Plus is such an important supplement and staying with our ethos of keeping our curation of supplementation extraordinarily tight, Diosmin Plus really is an outstanding formulation, in its genre, because this is the supplement that addresses poor circulation, and many of us suffer from differing health concerns associated with poor circulation.
Some of those concerns include varicose veins, spider veins and haemorrhoids and although poor circulation primarily affects our legs and feet, the implications are widespread which can lead to other health concerns such as leg ulcers, tired and heavy legs and Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS). RLS is a neurological disorder which, despite extensive research, is still not understood, but it is thought that genetics play a link and it is a consideration that Magnesium and Iron deficiencies may also be implicated.
I am going to link Shabir’s article on RLS below, but throwing the focus on the formulation, Diosmin Plus has been formulated with Diosmin™ 95, a standardised, high-potency bioflavonoid extracted from the rinds of sweet oranges. In studies, it has been shown to reach the bloodstream, reducing the markers for poor circulation and the inclusion of Diosmin™ 95 is critically important because Diosmin, as a stand-alone compound, is poorly absorbed by the body. Diosmin 95 is joined by Horse Chestnut, Dandelion, Gotu Kola, Ginger and Pine Bark extract, each playing a role in supporting the circulatory system.
Bringing this all together, I am dropping the price of Diosmin Plus from £28 to £25, but I am linking another two articles below, the first of which gives an overview of Diosmin Plus and the second is a stand-alone article on the prevention and treatment of haemorrhoids, which is a very common health concern affecting millions of people. So, as we drop the price of Diosmin Plus, I am also going to drop the price of two of the topical products mentioned in these articles, Ancient Magnesium Oil Ultra, referenced in the RLS article, drops from £18.95 to £16.95 and Venagel Horse Chestnut Gel, referenced in the haemorrhoids article, drops from £13.99 to £12.
VH Editorials: A Natural Remedy For Poor Circulation; What Causes Restless Legs; Preventing And Treating Haemorrhoids; DoSe Diosmin Plus £25 for 60 Capsules; Ancient Magnesium Oil Ultra by Good Health Naturally £16.95 for 200 ml; Venagel Horse Chestnut Gel from A. Vogel £12 for 100 grams (offers end at midnight BST, Sunday 8 June)
Following through, there are actually eight separate articles listed on the Diosmin Plus product page, and although I obviously can’t list all of them, they each serve a purpose, that purpose being that most forms of supplementation address differing health concerns. On subject, Magnolia Rhodiola Complex has thirteen articles linked on the product page, and this is indicative of its role for several health concerns, and although its primary function is to address stress, anxiety and low mood, it also plays a role in addressing tinnitus, menstrual migraines, managing the symptoms of fibromyalgia and SAD.
Magnolia Rhodiola Complex is an outstanding formulation, it has always been an outstanding formulation because it helps to reduce our levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and stress, whether physical, hormonal or emotional, causes the increase of cortisol by the adrenals. As such, cortisol blocks the uptake of the mood-elevating serotonin, but more than that, at times of stress the body goes through a series of changes, known as the fight or flight response, and part of this response is the release of cortisol and adrenaline, which can also lead to adrenal stress, which in and of itself is vastly misunderstood, yet it impacts nearly every system in the body.
Because I believe it is important to understand the impact adrenal stress has on our bodies, it is one of two articles I am linking below, together with Shabir’s article on how to combat stress effectively. Magnolia Rhodiola Complex has been formulated using clinical studied ingredients and specifically referencing Magnolia extracts, they contain Honokiol which has been shown to reduce cortisol levels within the body, as well as working to physically relax muscles and nerves. So, as I drop the price of Magnolia Rhodiola Complex from £29 to £26, I will also throw in a gift, whilst stock lasts, and that gift is Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Bath Foam (50 ml). Feels right.
VH Editorials: How To Combat Stress Effectively; Adrenal Stress; DoSe Magnolia Rhodiola Complex £26 for 60 Capsules + Perfect Night’s Sleep Bath Foam (50 ml) Free (offer ends at midnight BST, Sunday 8 June)
The other thing to say here is that it has always felt right to share wherever we can, it’s just the way we want to be, so let’s have another sharing moment and here I want to talk about skin health, most specifically about how our hormones can affect the health of our skin. It really is all about our hormones because hormonal changes are linked to our age and using pregnancy as an example, skin will often glow during pregnancy because oestrogen is a hormone which protects skin, so changes in oestrogen levels impact changes in our skin.
It makes total sense to me to have three or four different serums to use at different times of the month, or indeed seasonally, and I have long advocated having a skincare wardrobe, as it were, in order to customise skincare regimens. Of course, there are those serums which remain a constant, Ergothioneine Serum and Hyaluronic Serum are two of my constants, but for guidance I am linking Shabir’s article on how hormones can affect our skin below, and the sharing moment arrives with a 15% discount across each of the serums mentioned in his article and it includes Triple Vitamin C 23% Serum + Ferulic Acid, which puts a smile on my face.
VH Editorial: Hormones Affect Your Skin (with a 15% discount across all DoSe serums referenced in this article) (offer ends at midnight BST, Sunday 8 June)
I’m going to keep that smile on my face, my Fulvic Face Cream face, because the whole concept of DoSe skincare is to ‘dose’ serums into moisturiser, and although they can be used as stand-alone serums, it is a choice, a considered choice. In consideration of concept, I ‘dose’ into Fulvic Face Cream, that is my choice, a choice determined rather a long time ago when Shabir formulated Fulvic Face Cream for my overly sensitive skin. Two weeks ago, I used Fulvic Face Cream (30 ml) as the Saturday only treat, so rather a lot of you will have Fulvic Face Cream, but if you missed it, I will include Fulvic Face Cream (30 ml) when you buy Fulvic Face Cream (60 ml).
Fulvic Face Cream £30 for 60 ml + Fulvic Face Cream (30 ml) Free (worth £15) (offer ends at midnight BST, Friday 13 June)
Right, let’s throw the focus on seasonal products, and this is where I put my hands up and apologise because after writing about the availability of Mrs White’s Unstung Hero in the aluminium, travel-friendly bottle a few weeks ago, it went out of stock again and I honestly thought we had enough stock, but we didn’t. Unstung Hero is formulated in France, the South of France to be precise, and thankfully it has now arrived after meandering its way up through France. So, it’s back in stock and glory hallelujah because it is one of our bestselling seasonal products, it always has been.
Mrs White’s Unstung Hero Mosquito Repellent £20 for 250 ml (glass bottle); Mrs White’s Unstung Hero Insect Repellent £15 for 100 ml (aluminium bottle)
Staying seasonal, I am linking an article below about our six best products for summer feet and although I have always believed that we should look after our feet regardless of the season, this article serves to discuss some summer essentials. I am pulling two products out of that article, the first is the Pink Foot File, which I still believe is the best foot file in the world, big statement, but I often make big statements, and the second product is Fulvic Acid Nail Cream, our breakthrough formulation which I haven’t written about for absolutely ages, so I’m dropping the price of Fulvic Acid Nail Cream from £14 to £12 in honour of its brilliance. Tra-la-la.
VH Editorial: Our Six Best Products For Summer Feet; Pink Foot File by Alida £12 (drops from £13.99); Fulvic Acid Nail Cream £12 for 30 ml (offers end at midnight BST, Friday 13 June)
Right, I have another statement to make and this time it is about the pricing of Clinisept+ Mouthwash, which I wrote about two weeks ago on the Weekend Read dropping the price from £7.95 to £6.95, except just before we published the Weekend Read we received a notification about a price increase. It is perfectly normal for brands to increase their pricing structure, it happens all the time, and in this particular instance, Clinisept+ Mouthwash increased in price from £7.95 to £9.95, so I had to make a call, and that call was to stay with the words that I had written, together with the discounted pricing structure.
On from that, I extended the discounted pricing structure and that still holds, but of course we will need to increase the price to £9.95, however because this is one of our bestselling products, I didn’t want to do so without writing about it. So, now that I have written about it, I just want to say that I am going to hold the price of Clinisept+ Mouthwash at £6.95 until midnight BST, Friday 13 June, honouring the words I wrote on 24 May, with a note to say that Addicts will of course continue to receive their 10% discount when the price increases.

Finally, the TEMPLESPA offer for June where Life Defence SPF 30 and Life Defence SPF 50 both drop in price from £45 to £35. Each product offers UVA/UVB broad-spectrum protection, creating a barrier against pollution and UV radiation and staying with TEMPLESPA, another mention for the recently launched Body Defence SPF 30, a hydrating body sunscreen, which also provides broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection in a lightweight, non-greasy formulation which absorbs quickly into skin. And that’s the wrap, as we head into the Saturday only treat.
Life Defence SPF 30 by TEMPLESPA £35 for 50 ml; Life Defence SPF 50 by TEMPLESPA £35 for 50 ml; Body Defence SPF 30 by TEMPLESPA £35 for 180 ml
And here is the Saturday only treat, so with every order placed for £35 and above, excluding p&p, we will automatically include AAAHHH Instant Cooling Balm (15 ml)* from TEMPLESPA which is a rather fabulous cooling gel for tired feet and limbs, but it can also be used to help relieve shoulder tension. Full product details below.
