ADK provides essential levels of vitamins A, D, and K, which are three of the most important nutrients for health:
- Vitamin A supports normal bone development, growth, and repair throughout life. It also maintains mucosal immune function, which is essential for a healthy immune response.
- Vitamin D oversees the absorption and utilisation of calcium by the body and bones. It also supports cardiovascular function and helps maintain normal blood pressure.
- Vitamin K2: A special form of vitamin K is important for normal bone formation. Vitamin K2 activates a critical protein called osteocalcin, which helps integrate calcium into bones. Optimal vitamin K2 ensures calcium is deposited into bones instead of arteries, keeping arteries soft and flexible for smooth blood flow.
