Why choose Well.Actually. Liposomal Vitamin D3 & K2 spray?
Well.Actually. Liposomal Vitamin D3 & K2 spray is made in the UK to GMP BRCGS food safety standards. This premium formula provides a convenient and effective way to supplement Vitamin D3 and K2 to support bone, immune and heart health. It is suitable for the whole family, with flexible liquid dosing for personalised use. Each spray contains plant-based Vitamin D3 and K2 for improved calcium absorption, encapsulated in millions of liposome bubbles to ensure superior bioavailability. Every spray delivers 1,000 IU of Vitamin D3 and 50 mcg of Vitamin K2.

What are liposomes?
Liposomes are microscopic sphere-shaped bubbles that encapsulate nutrients, protecting them from the harsh digestive environment and increasing absorption and bioavailability. Liposome encapsulation technology has been safely and effectively used for over 30 years to enhance the delivery of nutrients and medicines. Well.Actually. uses phosphatidylcholine derived from natural sunflower lecithin to form the liposome membranes. Because this material is the same as human cell membranes, the body recognises and absorbs the liposomes easily, rapidly transporting nutrients into the bloodstream and directly into cells.

How much Vitamin D3 do I need, and how much is too much?
In the UK, the recommended daily intake of Vitamin D3 for adults is 10 mcg, equivalent to 400 IU, while the EU NRV is 5 mcg, equivalent to 200 IU. More recent studies suggest higher intakes may benefit immunity, but it is important to stay within safe upper limits. Current guidelines state that adults and children over 11 years should not exceed 100 mcg or 4,000 IU per day. Children aged one to 11 years should not exceed 50 mcg or 2,000 IU per day. Infants under 12 months should not exceed 25 mcg or 1,000 IU per day.

How much Vitamin K2 do I need, and how much is too much?
Vitamin K2, also known as menaquinone, works alongside Vitamin D3 to support calcium absorption and bone health. In the UK the recommended intake varies by age and life stage, starting from 2 mcg per day for infants up to six months, 2.5 mcg per day for infants up to 12 months, 30 mcg per day for children aged one to three years, 55 mcg per day for children aged four to eight years, 60 mcg per day for children aged nine to 13 years and 75 mcg per day for teenagers aged 14 to 18 years. Adult men should aim for 120 mcg per day, adult women for 90 mcg per day, with pregnant or breastfeeding teens advised to take 75 mcg and pregnant or breastfeeding women 90 mcg. A safe upper limit for Vitamin K is set at 1 mg, equivalent to 1,000 mcg, but it is always advisable to check the most up-to-date guidance before supplementing.

Vitamins for Men Over 40

Vitamins for men are very important to ensure the optimal function of the body especially as our bodies begin to find it more difficult to absorb essential vitamins as we age to stay healthy. Along with a good and balanced diet, vitamins for men will help to support the immune system and to protect the body against oxidative damage, a process that ages our bodies quicker than normal.

Vitamin D Deficiency

We are constantly reminded of possibly having a vitamin D deficiency especially when autumn prevails and yet despite all the press about vitamin D, most of us have chosen to ignore the findings and hope we have sufficient levels in the bloodstream. Most of us don’t. In fact, according to the Department of Health, as much as 25 percent of the population has a vitamin D deficiency – and scientists estimate that this figure could be higher.
