Life Extension Uric Acid Control is a supplement for uric acid control containing a patent pending natural extract which inhibits uric acid production, high levels of which are linked to joint, kidney and bladder disease.
Uric acid is a waste by-product. It's formed when your body breaks down purines, which are found in some foods. Purines show up when cells die and get taken apart. Most of the uric acid is excreted through normal bodily function. If you have high levels of uric acid, it can be a sign of disease such as gout and often a diet low in purines would be recommended alongside medications or supplements.
Rich in tannins, derived from the edible fruit of the Terminalia bellerica tree, Uric Acid Control by Life Extension will help to keep your uric levels within a healthy range by supporting healthy concentrations of two critical enzymes involved in uric acid metabolism: Xanthine oxidase and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS).
Uric Acid Control by Life Extension is the ideal supplementation for those suffering with high levels of uric acid caused from gout, arthritis, diabetes, psoriasis, obesity or a high alcohol consumption.
