Spatone is an excellent natural iron food to help maintain optimal iron status which is so essential for high energy levels. Generally, women have higher iron requirements than men mainly due to extra demands caused during menstruation and pregnancy. Yet they also, on average, eat less food. In fact, of all minerals iron is the only one where women's requirements are greater than men's. It is not surprising therefore, that less than optimum iron levels are found in as many as 42% of Women under 50 (in UK).
Just one sachet of Spatone provides the entire average daily absorbed iron requirement, helping to give extra energy at a time when women and girls need it most.
Research has shown that iron requirement can double during the second half of pregnancy. Because of this exceptional demand for iron, requirements are often not met by diet alone. It is often at this time that women are prescribed iron tablets and suffer with the uncomfortable symptoms that are often associated with them such as constipation.
Spatone provides a gentle alternative iron supplement that is ideal to take at this time. Clinical trials have proven it to be a highly absorbable and effective supplement during pregnancy without causing any gastric disturbances.

Are the Spatone sachets recyclable?
Unfortunately the sachets are not currently recyclable, but without them Spatone wouldn’t be able to put the product on the market. The unique composition of Spatone presents us with a number of challenges in terms of compatibility with packaging materials. In order to meet the legislative requirements for placing such products on the market, we must ensure that it is packed in materials that keep the product fresh and within specification throughout its shelf life. Spatone is naturally occurring and iron-rich, so as soon as it is exposed to the air (oxygen) it starts to oxidise. This is why we package Spatone in one daily sachet, so that it is always 'fresh' and provides a source of iron for your daily needs. To date, a recyclable and convenient to use sachet format does not exist that has this protection from air. As a naturally inspired company, we are doing our best to reduce waste in Spatone packaging, as well as in their other products.
Can I take too much Spatone?
