Magnesium

Magnesium supplements for migraines, available in capsules, tablets and powders, are often recommended for both the prevention and treatment of migraines and headaches.

Of all the available supplements, magnesium has been the most studied nutrient for its benefits for headaches and migraines. Magnesium works to relax the nervous system which may explain its benefits in the prevention and treatment of migraines.
