Why is there Indole-3-Carbinol in this supplement?
Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C) is a natural compound found in cruciferous vegetables. These compounds have been clinically proven by published research to benefit oestrogen metabolism, and are therefore key for supporting Endometriosis. Some formulas use a similar compound known as DIM, however, we have specifically chosen to include I3C as research has shown that DIM may not be as effective, and may negatively affect some women with specific genetic imbalances in metabolism.
Can I take this whilst on the contraceptive pill?
We do not recommend this whilst on the contraceptive pill, injection or patch.
Can I take this if I have a Mirena or Kyleena coil?
Yes, you can.
Can I take this if I have a copper coil?
Yes, you can.
Can I take this if I have Adenomyosis?
Yes, you can.
Can I take this if I don’t have Endometriosis?
Yes, you can. All of the ingredients in this complex have been specifically formulated to support symptoms of excess oestrogen, oestrogen metabolism and general female health.
Can I take this after surgery?
Yes, the nutrients and botanicals in this formula are incredibly supportive for recovery and healing after surgery, and we also recommend continuing to take this for longer-term support. If you have been prescribed any medication following surgery, please speak to our Nutritional Team for advice before taking this product.
Can I take this whilst trying to conceive?
Yes, however we recommend avoiding this product if you are taking prescribed fertility medication such as Clomid or Clomifene.
Can I take this whilst undergoing IUI, IVF or FET?
We do not recommend taking this product whilst you are undergoing IUI, IVF or FET, however you may take it up until you begin these treatments.
Can I take this whilst pregnant?
We do not recommend this product during pregnancy.
Can I take this whilst breastfeeding?
Yes, you can take this whilst breastfeeding if your period has returned.
Can I take this during the perimenopause?
Yes, you can – we also recommend combining this with Botanical Menopause Complex.
