Why We Love It

Urban Veda Tongue Scraper is a clever and effective approach to tongue cleaning that can promote a healthy mouth and gastrointestinal tract, which in turn leads to a happy gut. Tongue scraping is an ancient Ayurvedic method of tongue cleaning, practised for over 5,000 years. In Ayurveda, the health of the tongue is linked to the health of the heart, kidneys, spleen, liver, lungs, and the stomach.

Our In-House Pharmacist has written one article about Copper Tongue Cleaner:

How to use: Use the Urban Veda Tongue Scraper first thing in the morning on an empty stomach before brushing your teeth. Begin by guiding the arch over your tongue, starting towards the back and working forwards. Gently glide and lightly pull the tongue cleaner forward and if needed, repeat this process until clean, rinse well each time. The entire process usually takes less than two minutes. Repeat as needed throughout the day.

Copper can oxidise naturally, so it can turn dark or even green. To clean the copper tongue scraper, rinse the scraper under hot water after each use, removing any debris or saliva, and ensure that your tongue scraper stays clean and dry between sessions.
