Directions: As a food supplement, children aged 3 to 10 should take one spray daily, while those aged 11 to 17 and adults can take up to three sprays a day. Each spray provides 1,333 IU of vitamin D3 and 33.3 µg of vitamin K2, with three sprays delivering the maximum daily dose of 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 100 µg of vitamin K2. For children’s general wellbeing, one to three sprays a week is usually enough, although daily use can be given if extra support is needed. The formula is blended with MCT oil for optimal absorption, so it does not need to be taken with food.

Taking too much vitamin D creates toxic levels of calcium in your blood. This may lead to nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, dizziness, fatigue, excessive thirst, poor appetite and frequent urination. Keep out of direct sunlight - Vitamin K2 is photosensitive. Not recommended for children under 12 due to the peppermint oil.  Check with your doctor before taking supplements like this one if you:

  • Are on any medication, such as blood thinners or are about to have surgery
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have health concerns or conditions
  • You should never supplement K2 if you’re on blood-thinning medication such as warfarin
  • People with a rare metabolic condition called Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency should avoid vitamin K.
  • People who are receiving dialysis for kidney diseases can have harmful effects from too much vitamin K.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (Coconut), Vitamin K2 compound K2VITAL MK-7® (Medium chain triglycerides, menaquinone-7), Vitamin D3 Compound (Medium chain triglycerides, plant derived cholecalciferol, antioxidant (tocopherol-rich extract)), Peppermint Oil (Mentha Piperita).

What type of Vitamin D3 does Bare Biology use in Beam & Balance?
Bare Biology uses vitamin D3 sourced from 100% non-GMO algae.

How much do I need to take?
You can easily adjust the dose of Beam & Balance to suit your needs:

  • 3 sprays = 4000IU (or 100ug) vitamin D3 & 100ug vitamin K2
  • 1 spray = 1333.3IU vitamin D3 & 33.3ug vitamin K2

Maximum doses:

  • 3-10 years : 1 spray a day
  • 11+ years+ : Up to 3 sprays a day
  • 18+ years: Up to 3 sprays a day

For kids general wellbeing 1-3 sprays a week is usually plenty. But if you don't feel that's enough, try 1 spray a day for 3-10 year olds and 1-3 sprays a day from 11 year and up.

Can I take too much Vitamin D?
Taking too much Vitamin D for too long can cause more harm than good. It’s currently recommended that you don’t take more than 4000 IU a day. Taking too much vitamin D means you can end up with toxic levels of calcium in your blood. This may lead to nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, dizziness, fatigue, excessive thirst, poor appetite, and frequent urination. If vitamin D toxicity is left uncorrected, there may be a risk of kidney complications. If you are experiencing some of the symptoms associated with low vitamin D or if eating oily fish isn’t part of your daily or weekly diet, then it could be a good idea to get your vitamin D levels tested.

How do I know if I'm deficient in vitamin D3?
Deficiency signs: muscle weakness; aches and pains; frequent or recurring infections; low mood or depression; worry and anxiety; hair loss. You can also get your Vitamin D levels tested through a GP.

Can I take it if I'm pregnant?
The NHS recommends 400IU of Vitamin D per day during pregnancy. They also suggest no more than 0.6ml of peppermint oil per day. Although Bare Biology vitamin D3 spray only contains 0.00957ml of peppermint oil per 3 sprays and 0.053ml per bottle, for caution we recommend you consult with your GP or pregnancy specialist before taking Beam & Balance.

Can children take it?
For kids general wellbeing 1-3 sprays a week is usually plenty. But if you don't feel that's enough, try 1 spray a day for 3-10 year olds and 1-3 sprays a day from 11 year and up.

Is it vegan friendly?
Yes. Bare Biology uses an algae source of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2, so it's suitable for vegans.

Does it contain any allergens?
There are no known allergens (as required to be declared by food law) in the Beam & Balance formula, but we would advise that it's not suitable for those with a coconut allergy.
