Peppermint

Helps increase stomach acidity, aiding digestion. Slightly anaesthetises mucous membranes and the gastro-intestinal tract. Useful for chills, colic, diarrhoea, headache, heart trouble, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, nausea, poor appetite, rheumatism and spasms. Caution: Do not ingest pure menthol or pure peppermint leaves.
