PerfectTed Matcha Powder, Fresh Mint, is a blend of matcha green tea and mint that offers a unique taste experience while providing the numerous health benefits of matcha. Matcha powder is rich in amino acids, antioxidants, and slow-release caffeine for optimised all-day energy.
Perfect Ted Matcha is sourced from Uji, a region nestled in the hills around Kyoto renowned for producing the highest quality matcha.
This ceremonial-grade matcha boasts a mint flavour combined with the delicious umami of PerfectTed's premium matcha. Each teaspoon (5 grams) of Fresh Mint Matcha contains 43mg of caffeine. Unlike coffee, matcha's caffeine content is supplemented by L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes a calming energy boost while avoiding jitters, crashes, and anxiety. L-theanine is known to reduce anxiety, relieve stress, and enhance focus.

Does PerfectTed matcha latte powder contain caffeine?

How do I make a mint matcha latte?
Combine 1 tsp of mint matcha powder with 200ml of your favourite milk - enjoy hot or iced - it is that simple!
What is matcha and where is it from?
PerfectTed matcha is organic and ceremonial grade made from the youngest, freshest tea leaves from the first harvest in the foothills of Uji, Japan. Uji is the region renowned for producing the world’s best matcha.
Is PerfectTed matcha always organic?
Yes, always!
What's so special about first harvest (first-flush) matcha?
During winter, tender buds have a chance to hibernate and acquire extra nutrients. First harvest matcha comes from the first spring harvest, thus capturing the extra nutrients that the tea plant works so hard over winter to develop. As a result, the first harvest matcha has 3X the L-theanine and twice the caffeine of second harvest (second flush) matcha, which contains significantly fewer antioxidants and nutrients.
How long does matcha last?
PerfectTed Organic Matcha Powders have an expiration date on them, but matcha usually has a shelf life of approximately 2 years. For maximum freshness, store your matcha away from light, preferably in the fridge once opened.
How should I store my matcha powder?
Store it in an airtight container away from direct light exposure.
Why is matcha more expensive than green tea?
Due to the meticulous process in which ceremonial grade matcha is grown and harvested, matcha green tea powder has 10 times the benefits of your standard cup of green tea.
Is PerfectTed matcha tested for radiation and heavy metals?
Yes, PerfectTed matcha goes through all required testing, specifically for radiation and heavy metals.
How much matcha should I have in a day?
That’s up to you and your body! The same limits you’d set for yourself on coffee should be applied to matcha.
Why is PerfectTed harvested by hand?
Higher-quality leaves are more tender and have a less pungent smell. As such, hand-picking these leaves to then grind into matcha is key if you want to achieve the highest possible quality end-product. However, harvesting matcha by hand is, of course, more expensive than doing so by machine. When you see cheap matcha offered online, it may not be handpicked and could be a blend from different locations. The overall quality of this matcha will inherently be lower.
Why is Matcha in demand so much right now and how does that impact the price?
Matcha is more in-demand now in the West than ever before, with what was once a luxury becoming an everyday use item. Even large corporations like Starbucks are selling it! Demand always plays a role in price increases, but we also can't forget the availability of matcha. The best matcha only grows in specific geographic locations, most notably in Uji, Japan. There are, however, products on the market from China that are typically lower quality, not radiation-tested, and have undergone processes lacking in quality control. At a high level, matcha can be expensive due to the lengthy and unique harvesting process that requires meticulous manual handling and quality assurance. Moreover, because the best matcha comes from a single region in Japan (Uji), there is only a limited supply of the top-quality product.
