How do I care for my silk mask?
Caring for your Drowsy silk mask is easy and just takes a little love. Traditionally, silk is hand wash only. Drowsy silk is of the highest quality so they are machine washable, but they are still silk and need as much care as we can give them.
ALWAYS use a ph neutral liquid detergent and/or fabric softener. Silk is a natural fibre and washing in a solution that’s too acidic or alkaline can cause the silk to harden in a single wash. If you can't find a detergent that specifies ph level then just go for one that specifies silk. Do not use bleach products.
Another important factor is water temperature. Even just slightly above 30 degrees Centigrade or 85 degrees Fahrenheit can change silk dramatically. The safest method if your machine doesn't specify exact heat settings is either cold or just one level above cold.
A delicates bag is optional, depending on your washing machine and whether or not it tends to grab items and tear them.
If you wish to maximise the life of your eye mask, hand washing is the ultimate method. Silk products should not be exposed to sunlight after washing. Leave to dry naturally, laid flat in a well ventilated area. Ultraviolet light can cause fading, ageing and discolouring of silk.

Can you use eye cream, night time moisturiser or other facial products with the mask?
This depends on the product you are using and what ingredients it contains. Some facial products do not stain or get soaked up at all. To be on the safe side, allow 15-20 minutes after application of your eye cream/gel/oil, in the evening before putting the mask on. By following the care instructions that come with Drowsy eye masks, you can wash them too from time to time to keep them silky and clean!
What is Momme?
Momme is the count that’s used to measure silk’s weight and quality. It’s similar to thread count with other fabrics - so the higher the momme, the thicker and better quality the silk is. Drowsy 22 momme silk sleep masks are the perfect balance between weight and density. The quality is pure heaven.
Are Drowsy silk masks suitable for men too?
Yes! Drowsy masks are unisex. You can choose a classic colour, as Midnight Blue that would suit the more masculine types out there.

I have fake lashes or Eyelash extensions. Is the mask suitable for me?
Silk is recommended for sleep masks when you have eyelash extensions as the material is very light and soft. Drowsy sleep masks do not have a ''pocket'' for your eyes and as such the silk would come into contact with your lashes. However the strap that goes around your head is fully adjustable, so there's no need to have it really tight on, so you can adjust it to fit your head and allow for your lashes too. The mask is also very soft and contains some light cushioning inside the black-out padding.
Are Drowsy eye masks sound muffling?
Drowsy eye masks are not principally intended to be sound muffling. However, due to the nature of the design, and the extra padding used that wraps entirely around the head, a great secondary feature of the mask is that it does help to reduce noise and muffle sound. If you have a partner who snores, or if you fly a lot, you will notice the difference!
Are Drowsy sleep masks total black out?
Drowsy have spent hours with their product development team and manufacturers to be able to make all of their masks, no matter the colour of the silk, 100% black-out.
I’ve got a big head, will your eye masks fit me?
Drowsy eye mask is suitable for anyone with a head size of between 48-64cm. The eye masks don’t have elastic in them. They are made using quality velcro straps so are completely adjustable.
Can I use the pillow spray on Drowsy sleep mask?
Use the pillow spray on your pillow. Even if you are using an eye mask, you will still benefit from the aromas on your pillow as the mask doesn’t cover your nose at all.
