Muesli

My friend Eleanor ‘stole’ this recipe from a Swiss hotel many years ago and we have been making it ever since.

4 Apples – Leave the skin on and grate.
3-4 Carrots – Peel and grate.
1 Tin Condensed Milk (Half sized tin)
1 Large Pot Sour Cream
Small Bottle of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice (or half a carton)
1.5 Pints Milk
1 Bag of Oats (1 kg – less a couple of handfuls)
Sultanas
2 Punnets of Strawberries (halved)
1 Punnet of Blueberries (or any other berry)

Combine the grated apples and grated carrots; mix into the oats, add condensed milk, stir; add milk, stir; add sour cream, stir; add sultanas, stir and put in fridge for two hours. After two hours, remove from fridge; add fruit and sugar (or sugar substitute) to taste. Stir and serve.
