Life Extension Cytokine Suppress™, 30 vegetarian capsules, is a supplement/vitamin for you if you are interested in inflammation management. Inflammation is a natural process that affects every cell and organ in the body. As we age, maintaining a balanced inflammatory response becomes increasingly important to our health. Fortunately, there is something we can do every day to support this process at a deep molecular level.
Cytokine Suppress with EGCG provides two natural food ingredients that have the ability to promote a healthy inflammatory immune response. Key constituents found in mung beans and green tea support inflammation. (1-4) This potent benefit is delivered by molecules found primarily in the seed coat of the mung bean and EGCG (epigallocate-chin-3-gallate), the major beneficial component in green tea.(4-6)
Acting together, these mung bean and green tea compounds help regulate healthy levels of a protein molecule known as HMGB1. This molecule is responsible for controlling the signalling compounds known as cytokines that cause inflammation. Mung bean seed coat extract has also been shown to support the body’s natural antioxidant defence system. (4-6) Life Extension® Cytokine Suppress with EGCG supports healthy inflammatory levels, that are so important as we age. (8-10)

How long does it take for Cytokine Suppress to have a noticeable effect?
Due to our unique biochemistries and lifestyles, the times it takes to notice benefits can vary from person to person. We encourage that the product be taken for at least 3 months on a regular basis before assessing its full effects.
What is the caffeine MG of this dose?
This formula uses 315.8 mg of green tea extract to provide 300mg of Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). Each serving contains a caffeine content of NMT (not more than) 0.1%, equivalent to 0.3158 mg.
How important is it to take this apart from food?
Life Extension formulates its product dosing and instructions based on scientific literature. This product is suggested to be taken without food, because there is the concern that EGCG and other components found in mung bean coat extract may interfere with other polyphenols/catechins in food. In one study, it was found that the simultaneous ingestion of dietary proteins reduced the bioavailability of galloylated catechins from green tea in humans.
