The product provides 9 g of type I and III collagen peptides and 1 g of type II collagen peptides. The remaining 1.1 g contains non-protein components.

Does this product have verisol collagen?
This product does not contain the trademarked VERISOL type I collagen. However, the Collagen Peptides for Skin & Joints contain a combination of types I, II & III collagen hydrolyzed to be easily absorbed and augment the collagen needs of various cells and tissues, making it our most comprehensive collagen formula for skin and joint health.

Should this be taken on an empty stomach?
Life Extension formulates its product dosing and instructions based on scientific literature. This product can be taken with or without food, based on your preference.

Can I premix this into the juice that I use and store it up to 5 days in the refrigerator?
You can, and it is still possible that you will derive benefit from the nutrients. However, it is important to keep in mind that the potency and efficacy of the ingredients in this product were not tested under the conditions of premixing and storing for multiple days. The cattle from which the bovine-sourced collagen is derived are raised in Brazil and are primarily grass-fed and pasture-raised. While the active ingredients are not organic, all raw materials in this product meet the strict requirements for herbicides or pesticides as per the USP.

Can collagen be taken with both hot and cold beverages?
Yes, this product can be mixed with any temperature of beverage.
