Garden of Wisdom Neurophroline Serum is a superb multi-tasking serum to combat the major causes and signs of ageing skin, reactive and sensitive skin, and to mitigate the effects of pollution on skin. NeurophrolineSerum defends the skin against collagen damage; reduces inflammation, dryness, breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles and improves skin luminosity and clarity.

What does it do:

Garden of Wisdom Neurophroline Serum combats the major signs of ageing of skin. Stress and environmental aggressions including pollution and UV radiation cause the release of the stress hormone cortisol, an inflammatory hormone that is released within the epidermis of skin.

Reducing the signs of ageing - Stressed skin leads to higher levels of cortisol and higher levels of cortisol are responsible for breaking down collagen. This lack of collagen results in the common signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin that has lost its elasticity. When collagen levels are high, the skin is soft, smooth, and firm. GoW NeurophrolineSerum stops the destruction of collagen by breaking down the bodies cortisol production. The result - visibly improved skin tone within a very short period of time.

Improving dry skin - Another effect of stress on the skin is dry skin. Cortisol impacts on the production of hyaluronic acid. By reducing cortisol, Neurophroline Serum restores hydration levels and combats dry, dehydrated skin.

Reducing oily and improving acne-prone skin type - Cortisol's inflammatory effects result in the excess production of sebum which can lead to oiliness and/or acne breakouts. It is this increased cortisol that is also responsible for reactive skin - skin that may be sensitive to most topicals. Hence Neurophroline, in lowering cortisol, lowers sebum production.

Treating Rosacea - Rosacea-prone skin would also benefit from the use of Neurophroline Serum. Rosacea sufferers have been found to have almost three times more cortisol at rest and approximately five times more cortisol just before and after rosacea triggers and flares. Neurophroline serum may be useful in the treatment of rosacea.

The Science:

Neurophroline is an extract derived from wild indigo, Tephrosia purpurea. This patented extract helps break down cortisol production by skin cells, activates the release of a natural calming neuropeptide acting on mood, and visibly improves skin tone.
