Does your Food-Grown Pregnancy contain the required 400ug of folic acid?
Yes it does. In fact, it contains the more biologically active form of Folic Acid - Folate, naturally derived from our Food-Grown process. Folate is easier to absorb and use because it is already activated, this is especially important for some women who are not able to activate standard folic acid genetically.
Do I use your Food-Grown Pregnancy for each trimester?
Wild Nutritions Food-Grown Pregnancy is expertly formulated to support every stage of your pregnancy right through to breastfeeding. You and your baby will go through some key development shifts right up to, and post, birth. Taking Food-Grown Pregnancy will help to ensure you have all the right nutrients you need for this journey.
I am looking for a methylated Folate – is this formula suitable for me?
Yes, it is. Due to label laws in the UK Wild Nutrition are legally obliged to list this ingredient as ‘Folic Acid’. Their formula is in the form of methylated Folate naturally derived from their Food-Grown process, rather than synthetically generated. This means it is suitable for those women who may not be able to convert Folic Acid due to genetic variations in Folate metabolism.
I am due to give birth – do I need to stop taking your Food-Grown Pregnancy?
This formula was developed to support you and your baby throughout pregnancy and into breastfeeding, so there’s no need to stop taking it once you’ve given birth. In fact the ‘4th trimester’ is often the most challenging, so your body will need even more support to heal from delivery, as well as face hormone shifts, low energy levels and lack of sleep.
How long should I take your Food-Grown Pregnancy for after giving birth?
We recommend you keep using Wild Nutrition's Food-Grown Pregnancy until your baby is at least 12 weeks old, or longer if you wish. Even if you are not breastfeeding, you will still need to optimise your own nutrition and our formula has been specifically designed to provide the most suitable nutrient levels for new mothers. After 12 weeks, you can move on to other supplements. Please do contact the customer care team if you have any quesitons.
Do I need to take extra Vitamin D with your Food-Grown Pregnancy?
This formula contains the officially recommended 10ug (400iu) dose of Vitamin D3, however some women may need more. For this reason, we can safely assist you if you are unsure how much more Vitamin D to take. Please contact the customer care team if you have any questions.
Should I take all three daily capsules of your Food-Grown Pregnancy at once, or divide them up over the day?
All three daily capsules are designed to be taken together, and there is no benefit or need to separate the dose out.
My doctor has said I don’t need to supplement Folic Acid for longer than 12 weeks, so can I take your Food-Grown Pregnancy long term?
Absolutely, this formula is specifically formulated to support you through all trimesters. We use an active form of Folic Acid called Folate, so your body recognises it as food. Folate is both safe and supportive to supplement beyond 12 weeks. Indeed Folate is needed for a healthy immune system and to support the nervous system throughout the pregnancy.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of young children. Do not exceed the daily dose. If pregnant, or breastfeeding, or if you are taking medication, or on medical care, consult your physician prior to use.
