At what age can iS CLINICAL sunscreens be used?
The iS CLINICAL sunscreens may be used for ages 6 months and older. Children have delicate skin, so sun avoidance and wearing appropriate clothing should be practiced. As babies explore their environment orally, and we not recommend the ingestion of any IS CLINICAL® products, all children under the age of 6 months should have sunscreen recommendations discussed with their physician.

Why is there a plus sign (+) following the SPF number on ECLIPSE SPF50+?
Tests for SPF documentation are government mandated and supervised. The SPF number printed on the package indicates that the sunscreen showed a specific SPF when tested. ECLIPSE SPF50+ passed this testing with an SPF greater than 50 — hence the “50+” printed on the package. In recent years, the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) has not allowed the package label to indicate an SPF greater than 50, because SPF numbers greater than 50 are meaningless and give no further significant sun protection.

How much sunscreen should I apply?
Sunscreen should be applied to all body areas not covered by clothing. About one (1) ounce is the right amount to use for the entire body. Approximately one (1) teaspoon will adequately cover the head and neck. Most people apply inadequate amounts of sunscreen for proper solar protection. If engaging in outdoor activity, such as sports, swimming, sunbathing, or any time spent near water and or perspiring, reapplication should occur every 40minutes.

Are tints the same between Eclipse SPF 50+ and Extreme Protect SPF 40?
(EP 40 and Eclipse)Eclipse SPF50+ in PerfecTint Beige is a lighter shade than Extreme Protect SPF40 in PerfecTint Beige. To further distinguish between the two tints, Eclipse PerfecTint Beige is a cooler shade best for fair to light skin tone with cool/red undertones, while Extreme Protect SPF40 in PerfecTint Beige is a warmer shade best for light to medium or olive skin tone (Fitzpatrick II-IV) with yellow undertones.

Can iS CLINICAL products protect the skin from blue light damage?
Many iS CLINICAL products may help protect against blue light. Blue light, also termed HEV light or high energy visible light, damages skin via free radical mechanisms. Blue light is found in sunlight, especially during the early morning hours, and it also emanates from personal device screens such as cell phones, computers, and televisions. There are many ingredients within many iS CLINICAL products that can improve this situation. Eclipse SPF50 being one of them.

I have oily skin. Which sunscreen would be best for me?
ECLIPSE SPF50+ would be an excellent choice. It will not clog pores, is non-oily, and is a broad-spectrum sunscreen of the highest quality.

Is there a waterproof iS CLINICAL sunscreen?
Regulatory agencies no longer permit the term “waterproof”. ECLIPSE SPF50+ is water resistant to forty (40) minutes.

Will I break out with iS CLINICAL sunscreens as I do with others?
The benefits of an all physical sunscreen, like ECLIPSE SPF50+, include use of the inert (do not irritate skin) sunscreen actives zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
