This high-performance iS Clinical Brightening Serum 15-ml formerly known as White Lightening Serum rapidly targets hyperpigmentation – a notoriously difficult condition to treat. How often should I use BRIGHTENING SERUM?
BRIGHTENING SERUM can be used morning and evening and is advised if hyperpigmentation is the primary concern. If the concern is minor then the product can be used in either morning or evening. Whichever method is chosen, consistency is key, as hyperpigmentation can be challenging and time consuming to treat. Additionally, a full IS CLINICAL regimen is imperative. This consists of cleansing and hydrating morning and evening and diligence with SPF application during the day.
Why can Brightening Serum and Brightening Complex be used all year round?
Unlike many product lines, iS Clinical uses no ingredients that cause sun related reactions or sensitivities – in contrast to some other product lines. The Brightening Duo contains high performing, botanically-based, antioxidant-rich products that give superior protection to the skin all year round. iS Clinicals always advises the application and reapplication of sunscreen daily. Hydroquinone-based products cannot be used for extended periods of time. Hydroquinone generates free radicals and are cytotoxic. Brightening Serum and Brightening Complex do not have these limitations making them safe to use all year round.
Why must I also use sunscreen when using BRIGHTENING COMPLEX and/or BRIGHTENING SERUM?

Individuals often face multiple triggers of hyperpigmentation from inflammation, to hormones, with UVR being a constant variable. If hyperpigmentation is not a primary concern or it appears minor, then either BRIGHTENING COMPLEX or BRIGHTENING SERUM can be used, along with SPF.
