- Liquorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) contains glabridin, an active compound inhibiting the enzyme that causes skin darkening due to sun exposure. Effective for reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation, Liquorice Root also has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties useful for treating irritating skin conditions and acne.
- Arbutin naturally found, most notably, in the bearberry plant, it inhibits the synthesis of melanin, making this highly valued for its skin-brightening and complexion-enhancing properties. Arbutin contains antioxidants and anti- inflammatory properties, useful to combat anti-ageing and soothe sensitive skin.
