4711 Cream Soap cleanses your skin with a richly lathering soap bar that can be used in the bath or shower.
4711 Cream Soap bar contains the classic 4711 Eau de Cologne and this mild and non-drying soap lifts away dirt & grime effectively leaving behind the zesty fragrance of bergamot and other notes.
At the beginning of the 18th Century, Italian expatriate, Johann Maria Farina, created a new fragrance and named it Eau de Cologne (water from cologne), after his new residence, Cologne. In the course of the 18th Century the fragrance became increasingly popular and some years later a Cologne merchant, Wilhelm Mulhens, secured the rights to the Farina family name and began manufacturing his own version of the fragrance.
The residence, 4711 Glockengasse, was given to the House of Mulhens during the occupation of Cologne in 1796 and the number 4711 thereafter characterised Eau de Cologneand became the new name for the product.
4711 Original Eau de Cologne was formulated in 1792 from the essential oils of select citrus fruits and small quantities of Rosemary and Lavender. This creme soap revitalises skin leaving it cool, dew-fresh and silky. Rich lathering but gentle on the skin, it refreshes and leaves a whispher of the famous 4711 citrus scent.
How to use: Apply the 4711 Cream Soap to wet hands, rub it in well and then rinse thoroughly with water.
