Yes VM is a water-based and long-lasting natural vaginal moisturising gel. Designed to match the typical vaginal environment with none of the skin-damaging or concerning chemicals typically found in vaginal moisturizers, Yes VM lubricates the vaginal vault. The natural hydrocolloids (gums) are bio-adhesive; they gently hold on to the dry walls of the vagina and release water where needed, rehydrating the dry mucosa. When used regularly, Yes VM will restore the natural protective acidity of the vagina.
YES® VM can provide relief from the symptoms of vaginal dryness in less than an hour, with relief lasting for up to 3 days. Vaginal dryness (vaginal atrophy) can affect women at any stage of life but is common for women experiencing menopause and perimenopause symptoms; in fact, the National Library of Medicine estimates this could be as high as 90% of post-menopausal women! Vaginal dryness can cause itching, burning, dryness, and pain during sex or day-to-day life. It can significantly affect a woman’s quality of life, and some may struggle with sex and intimacy as a result.
Benefits of Yes VM:
- Relieves vaginal atrophy and dryness, rapidly, alleviates irritation, itching and burning
- Moisturises and soothes dry and sensitive vaginal tissues with gentle and long-lasting rehydration
- Non-hormonal, estrogen-free that lasts up to 3 days per application
- pH matched to restore and/or maintain vaginal health
- Bio-adhesive so releases moisture where needed
- Odourless, colourless, no stickiness or fallout
- Designed to match tissue osmolality* (this is important, see below)
- Compatible with natural rubber, latex and polyisoprene condoms and toys
Tissue osmolality:
A vaginal moisturiser is in contact with sensitive and dry tissues for much longer than an intimate lubricant, so it is even more important that the vaginal moisturiser is designed to release water where needed and to be formulated from ingredients that are gentle. Yes VM has been designed to match these vulnerable tissues in two ways. Firstly the pH is balanced to match typical vaginal pH (fairly acidic at pH3.7-4.5) and secondly the strength and concentration of the ingredients used in YES VM also matches these tissues. This ingredientsstrength or concentration is called Osmolality. YES VM is iso-osmotic to vaginal tissues, this means that it will rehydrate tissues that need it, but will not pull or push water into the tissues, unlike strongly hypo or strongly hyper osmotic moisturisers, so minimising any chance of tissue damage.
Our in-house pharmacist has written an article about Yes Yes Lubricants: Overcoming Menopausal Vaginal Dryness.
Directions: Each Yes VM contains a leaflet with detailed instructions for use. To summarise:
- The pre-filled applicators deliver the right amount to where it is needed. Discreetly and hygienically.
- The 100ml tube does not have an applicator, it is used for finger application to the outer and inner intimate areas. Many women experience dryness not just internally.
- For best results apply regularly. This may be daily initially, and then after a week or so, every third day. It is safe to use daily or as often as is needed for comfort.
- The frequency of reapplication depends on the severity of dryness. The natural and pure ingredients mean you can apply as much as you need to feel comfortable, with no dosage concerns.
YES® VM has been successfully tested for compatibility with latex and polyisoprene condoms. They are not compatible with polyurethane condoms. This device is not a contraceptive or a sermicide. If irritation or discomfort occurs, discontinue use.

What is Smart Moisture Release?
Vaginal moisturisers should be iso-osmotic with vaginal tissues, meaning they only rehydrate the tissues that need it They gently replenish dry vaginal tissues without forcing or pulling excessive water into them. Iso-osmotic moisturisers are designed to release hydration as the body requires it over 1 to 3 days. YES® VM (Vaginal Moisturiser) prioritises osmolality in its formulation, ensuring it only releases moisture where and when your body needs it.
Are YES products gluten free?
All YES® products are gluten free.
Are YES product Oestrogen free?
Yes products do not contain oestrogen. The purity and distinctive formulations of Yes products make them uniquely suitable for many women. Many lubricant products are preserved with methyl paraben, which is an oestrogen mimic, and contraindicated for anyone who has had an oestrogen receptor positive cancer. Vaginal dryness is experienced by many women who are recovering from cancer, Breast care nurses and oncologists are very happy to recommend Yes intimate moisturisers to their patients, confident that they will safely provide real relief from dryness without compromising their recovery or challenging their immune systems. Yes is known to cherish and nurture precious and sometimes traumatised intimate tissue.
Can YES products be used on sensitive skin?
All the YES products are certified organic, which is the guarantee to the customer of product purity: assuring you there is nothing unknown, hidden, or damaging present in our organic product. To summarise YES products contain: no petrochemicals, no parabens, no known skin irritants, no grapefruit seed extract, no glycerin, no hormones, no silicone, no propylene glycol. As an example YES WB contains 5 plant extracts – all used in food and three having healing pedigrees of over 4000 years, and food grade preservatives. As a result we believe that our products are the safest on the market anywhere and why it is so good for sensitive skin. The preservatives we use in YES WB and YES VM are approved by the FDA and UK/EU bodies for food and cosmetic applications, as well as by our organic certifier: The Soil Association. The preservatives are used as sparingly as possible, in the lowest concentrations to be effective. To date we have found no naturally occurring approved preservative that works safely and effectively – so we chose the best solution, a combination of Sodium benzoate and Potassium sorbate.
Are YES product hypoallergenic?
Yes products are hypoallergenic as we have used the most pure ingredients possible in our products. Hypoallergenic means that something is formulated to minimise risk from allergies. Products labeled hypoallergenic are purportedly less likely to cause an allergic reaction in the person using them. This is because they are believed to contain fewer allergens, the substances and particles that irritate allergy-sufferers and cause them to have a reaction.
What is the difference between YES® VM and YES® WB?
YES® WB water-based and YES® OB plant-oil based are sister products, they can be used alone or together depending on what your body needs. They are different and complementary in their actions:

- In 5ml applicators: Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil and vitamin E
- Richly nourishing, providing soothing relief
- Can protect and feed dry intimate tissues. Will not, however, rehydrate tissues as do not contain water.
- Gynaecologist recommended

For best protection against discomfort when making love we suggest you use both products together, (YES® OB applied first followed by YES® WB). This gives robust lubrication from YES® OB and the extra slip from YES® WB on top ensures long-lasting lovemaking with the maximum lubrication. When used on top of YES® OB, YES® WB is not quickly absorbed so both partners get the benefit of natural feeling lubrication without the need to reapply regularly.
The tubes of our personal lubricant do not come with a reusable applicator as they are for both health & wellbeing and pleasure and are applied with your fingers. We do sell both the water and oil based personal lubricants in a prefilled, single use applicator so that you can apply the product further up into the vagina. Please refer to our products page on our website for more information.
Is it safe to use YES whilst pregnant
We believe that when you are pregnant, you are especially careful about your diet and the products you use, as you want your bodily environment to be as welcoming and kind as possible to your growing baby. During the hormonal changes brought about by pregnancy, it is common for a woman to experience vaginal dryness, and to need a lubricant. If vaginal dryness is experienced as a result of hormone changes due to pregnancy – common in the 2nd trimester – then YES® WB would be appropriate as it has the dual action of moisturisation and lubrication. YES® WB is better, in this respect, than all other lubricants as it contains no glycerin, no sugars, no petrochemicals, no parabens, no grapefruit seed extract and no skin irritants. As it is certified organic by the Soil Association, all its ingredients are guaranteed to be as pure as possible and contain no GM (genetically modified) ingredients. We consider that you would be very responsible in choosing pure YES® products when pregnant.
How do I apply YES?
As we all vary so much, we prefer not to be prescriptive about the application or recommending amounts. YES OB plant-oil based is a rich, healing emollient which has a thick consistency at room temperature and a lovely smooth liquid at body temperature. YES OB plant-oil based is made from skin nourishing butters and oils and is a long-lasting intimate lubricant and a great massage oil. Apply the lubricant with your fingers. YES WB is a gel that becomes less thick, more liquid as it is used. Rub a little in your fingers and you will see how it liquefies. For use as a personal lubricant, YES WB can be applied before and or during lovemaking. Privately, before lovemaking, women can put it on, in and around the vulva and vagina, using fingers to insert the lubricant well into the vagina, as well as to the labia. Applying lubricant during lovemaking can also become part of the intimate experience, enjoyed by both partners. If you are in any doubt about how much to use, go for more not less, water based lubricants are not known for lasting a long time (that’s one of the reasons why we make YES OB plant-oil based). YES WB contains no glycerine. Glycerine makes lubricants feel sticky and can dry tissues too. So using lots of YES WB will not leave you feeling sticky.
- YES VM use about 5ml (a teaspoon full). Put it on where the dryness occurs and depending on the severity of your dryness you may need to use the product more frequently. YES WB is very soothing and can calm sore itchy tissues as well.
- YES O YES is supplied with a rollerball to help limit the very small amount of YES O YES you need to your fingers. Once on the fingers is can be applied to the vulva as desired.
- Please note that YES OB plant-oil based is not compatible with condoms, all oils (natural or synthetic) seem to dissolve latex.
For all Yes products: Their purity and naturalness means there are no ingredients that have concerns attached to them and they have no known side effects. So we advise that you use Yes products liberally for best effect.
How do you store YES products?
Various things can cause the life of any product to be shortened, extreme temperatures (leaving it on a sunny window sill) or the addition of bacteria or fungi when removing the lid/cap. As YES products are made from natural ingredients, they are more sensitive to harsh conditions than their synthetic chemical cousins (actually more distant than cousins). Do not leave them on a sunny window sill, keep them at room temperature, no freezing or boiling and keep the lid on when you are not using them. They are not too sensitive, so you don’t have to turn out the light although they do like a little candle light!
Where can I apply YES?
The versatile YES® range includes products which are ideal for lovemaking, play, body glide, massage and suitable for vaginal, anal and oral use. YES® WB water based and YES® OB plant oil based intimate lubricants can be applied to the penis and the vaginal area, to enhance pleasure and assist penetration. Remember – it is important to lubricate the vulva as well as the vagina. To maximise comfort and reduce friction, please apply generously.
Can I use YES with condoms?
YES® WB, YES® VM and YES® BUT have been successfully tested for compatibility with latex and polyisoprene condoms. They are not compatible with polyurethane condoms. YES® OB and YES® O YES are not compatible with condoms.
Can YES be used with sex toys?
YES® WB and YES® VM are safe for use with latex, plastic and silicone toys. YES® OB is fine for use with plastic and silicone toys.
Are YES products supplied with reusable applicators?
YES products are not supplied with resuable applicators. YES VM, YES OB and YES WB can all be purchased with 5ml single use applicators.
