How to use: Rinse hair with warm water. Activate your shampoo bar in warm water for a few seconds. Rub your shampoo bar through the hair to produce a rich lather. EarthKind® bars are very concentrated, so a little goes a long way. Gently massage the scalp and lengths of the hair. Rinse product from your hair and condition using the EarthKind Organic Oats Conditioning Bar. Remember to store your bars away from water, using the travel friendly Storage Tin.

How is EarthKind shampoo bar different from other shampoo bars?

How does the EarthKind pre-wash hair conditioning treatment bar work?
The EarthKind pre-wash conditioning bar is formulated so that its active ingredients, such as amino acids, and elastin polypeptides penetrate deep into the centre of the hair to strengthen it and increase its elasticity. This is crucial for keeping the hair in good condition and preventing breakage.
Are all the products natural / organic?
Yes, all the EarthKind products are natural, and all the oils used to make them are organic – even their comb is organic! All the ingredients are from sustainable sources and, of course, all the products are plastic free.
Are EarthKind hair care products safe to use on Children?
Yes, the EarthKind shampoo and conditioning bars can be used on children with one exception. The Improved Scalp Health Shampoo Bar should not be used on babies or toddlers as the two natural antimicrobial oils in the bar, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus, are strong and may cause a slight reaction on very young skin. This is because their skin is a little thinner than in older children and has less protective oil covering it.
How long will a shampoo and conditioning bar last?
Both the EarthKind shampoo bars and, particularly the Organic Oat conditioning bar are very concentrated, so the shampoos give approximately 20 washes and the conditioner up to 50 treatments.
How should I store my bar after use?
The EarthKind tins are an excellent way of storing your bars and are very useful when traveling.
Are EarthKind shampoo bars tested on animals?
Absolutely not. EarthKind are totally against animal testing. EarthKind products are dermatologically tested on human volunteers.
Do EarthKind shampoo bars contain parabens?
No. All EarthKind products are paraben free.
Are EarthKind products suitable for vegans and vegetarians?
All EarthKind shampoo and conditioning bars are made with vegan formulations. They always will be. The only product within their range made with a non-vegan formula is the Elasticity Bar - a rich pre-wash treatment that adds elasticity and strength to the hair by utilising hydrolysed elastin. Elastin is an incredible protein that allows hair to return to a healthy state after brushing, styling or harsher chemical processes such as colouring. All EarthKind products are developed by a leading UK Trichologist and cosmetic scientist, so the health of the hair and scalp is at the very heart of what we do. We see the Elasticity Bar as a great way to introduce a luxurious product to an audience who had not necessarily considered converting from bottle to bar. Like our other products, the elasticity bar is plastic-free, made with natural, sustainable ingredients, and is highly concentrated with no added water (traditional bottles of conditioners and treatments can contain up to a 90% water to 10% active ingredient ratio - EarthKind bars contain 100% active ingredients). The great news is that our lab is deep into the development of a wonderful Vegan Pre-Wash Treatment Bar which is currently going through clinical and dermatological testing and is on schedule to be released later this year. Like the Elasticity Bar, this promises to be a first-of-its-kind, market-leading, eco-conscious haircare product.
Can EarthKind be used on all hair types?
There are three different EarthKind shampoo bars. Bergamot & Sage for dry, damaged or coloured hair. Citrus Leaf for frequent use on oilier or more regular hair. And Tea Tree & Eucalyptus which is very good for improving the health of the scalp with these two natural, anti-microbial oils. EarthKind products are also formulated to have excellent effects on both African and Asian hair. The EarthKind Organic Oats Conditioning Bar and the Pre-Wash Elasticity Treatment Bar are both suitable for ALL hair types.
