Why the change from the previous Arjuna, and how is this supposed to be better?
Life Extension upgraded Cardio Peak™ with Oxyjun® arjuna extract, which has stronger human trials behind it and once-daily dosing. The 400 mg dosage of the Oxyjun® arjuna extract was shown in human studies to support the pumping output of the heart's left ventricle. Not only does this encourage circulation and heart muscle function, but it was also shown to help fight physical fatigue. The stronger data of the new arjuna extract and the once-daily dosing make this a more efficacious and convenient formula.
Why was the hawthorn extract removed?
This product has been reformulated to provide 400 mg of Oxyjun® Arjuna extract, which has stronger research than the previous Arjuna extract. The hawthorn was removed based on this research to allow for more convenient once-daily dosing.
Can the Cardio Peak capsules be opened and mixed in a liquid drink for those who cannot swallow pills? Or does this affect its efficacy?
You can, and it is still possible that you derive benefits from the nutrients. However, the product was not designed for ingestion in this manner, and some may find the taste objectionable because the product is very potent.
How is this product different compared to the previous formulation?
Life Extension have switched the arjuna bark extract from the previous formulation to a standardized Terminalia arjuna bark extract clinically studied for cardiovascular health support. They have also removed hawthorn from this formulation to allow for a more convenient once-daily dosing.

When can I expect an effect?
In a study of people who took the arjuna bark extract found in Cardio Peak™, improvements in cardiac output were seen after 56 days (8 weeks). Everybody is unique, however, so the time it takes to notice the benefits varies from person to person. We suggest following the study duration to determine product efficacy.
Will this supplement interact with my medication?
There is no indication that the arjuna bark extract in this formula would negatively interact with prescription medications. However, we always suggest that you inform your physician of any supplements you are taking.
