One ingredient is maltodextrin, what is it derived from? Corn, rice, potato or wheat?
The maltodextrin is derived from non-GMO corn.
Is constipation a side effect of Florassist Mood Improve improve?
Based on our comprehensive review of the literature, constipation is not a side effect we would expect from this product. However, since all of our biochemistries are unique it can affect how we respond to different nutrients.
I have read that a lot of probiotics are alive at the time of manufacture but by the time that they reach your stomach through shipping processes and then home storage they are basically very ineffective why this different?
Florassist Mood Improve contains live inactivated probiotic bacteria providing colony-forming units that are activated in the GI tract where they thrive. Because of this, exposure of dormant, stabilized probiotics to heat and/or their storage at room temperature is generally not a concern for viability. However, active (live) culture probiotics are actively fermenting and typically require refrigeration as they have not been dried and stabilized to induce dormancy and maintain shelf life.
Can you take other probiotics with this one?
Yes, this product can be combined with other probiotics for more comprehensive support of the microbiome.
Will the bacteria survive gastric acid if the capsule's contents are sprinkled on food?
Since the product was not designed for ingestion in this manner we cannot guarantee the efficacy and potency would be the same as if the product was used as intended. Also, some may find the taste objectionable because the product is very potent.
